It is not all about working every hour of every day the hardest you can. That is unsustainable, and not productive. If staff, or people for that matter, don’t take a break, even if only a couple of minutes, they will tire, they will lose focus and they will ultimately burn out!

Having the mentality that a rest is a weakness or that taking a break is going to cause you to lose your train of thought is not healthy. It is actually more conducive to productivity and efficiency to take regular short breaks. They can be anything from a couple of minutes to 20 minutes. Each person will find their optimum.

We must admit this is quite a hard sell! We’re telling you to encourage your paid employees to rest! Seriously though, in the long term it will pay off!
